Meena Boppana is a sophomore at Harvard, likely majoring in math and computer science. She spent ten weeks last summer engaging in algorithmic game theory research. Meena is a board member of the Harvard University Math Association and a member of Women in Computer Science, and placed in the top 400 nationally on the Putnam math competition. Outside of academics, she is founding a South Asian acapella group on campus. In high school, she founded a math club at an underserved, all-girls middle school, Girls Prep, combining her passion for math and computer science with education and leadership.

“Radhika Nagpal, advisor of the women in Computer Science club at Harvard, recently published an article in Scientific American titled “The Awesomest 7-Year Postdoc or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Tenure Track Faculty Life.” She inspires me because she talks about how she was able to work in her own way and thrive in the stressful, mostly male environment of the Harvard computer science department.”
