ABI’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Alliances and Programs Elizabeth Ames recently discussed efforts to increase representation of women in tech.
“There is definitely a momentum, but I would caution that it’s not going to be solved immediately,” she stated. “There are some real challenges and it will take time.”
One example of momentum is TUNE’s sponsorship of a 3,100-square-foot home near the University of Washington for female students interested in computer science and technology. TUNE, a marketing software startup, hopes that this rent-free house will encourage women to join the tech field and provide a supportive community at home.
