Vicki Hanson, one of our 2013 Woman of Vision ABIE Award winners, has been elected President of the Association for Computer Machinery (ACM). In this new role, Vicki will lead ACM’s newly-elected all-female leadership team. Vicki has been an outspoken advocate for diversity in the tech field, particularly the inclusion of older and disabled people, and her dedication to promoting diversity in the technical workforce has been a guiding principal throughout her career.
“I am honored to have been elected,” Vicki said. “In this position, I look forward to working with ACM’s global community to serve researchers and practitioners in computing.”
