Simply reiterating the lack of inclusion and diversity in the workplace, especially in the tech industry, isn’t enough to solve it — if companies want to see actual change, they must take action. That’s why Thomson Reuters collected data based upon the definitions of diversity set by the Anita Borg Institute.
After examining this data, Thomson Reuters learned that their next goal should be to find ways to retain diverse IT professionals, especially women , at the mid-career level. By focusing on programs such as Leadhership1, Thomson Reuters was able to promote their mid-career employees and maintain its reputation as one of the more diverse companies in the industry.
