Press Release Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology Announces Keynote Speaker and Emcee for Women of Vision Awards Banquet

Palo Alto, CA, January 22, 2007 — Diane Greene, President, CEO, and co-founder of VMware will be the keynote speaker at the Women of Vision Awards Banquet on May 8, 2008 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, CA. The annual Women of Vision Awards, sponsored by the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, honor women making significant contributions to technology in three categories: Innovation, Leadership, and Social Impact. Sydnie Kohara, CBS 5 News Anchor, will be the Master of Ceremonies again this year.

Diane Greene is President, CEO and co-founder of VMware. Under her leadership, VMware created the market for mainstream virtualization, and leads what is now a virtualization software industry. She has held technical leadership positions at Silicon Graphics, Sybase, Tandem, and was the CEO of VXtreme.
