The ABI Advisory Board is holding its annual meeting at the National Academies of Sciences in the nation’s capital. The newly elected President of the National Academy of Engineering and former President and President Emeritus of MIT, Charles M. Vest, met the group to discuss the issues facing women in science and engineering. Vest highlighted the importance of industry, government, and academia being engaged with the issue. The National Academies’ Beyond Bias and Barriers report has become a key reference in this dialogue.
