Dr Ann Gates

Professor and Head Department of CS. University of Texas, is the lead for the Computing Alliance for Hispanic-Serving Institutions (CA-HSI). She was named to Hispanic Business magazine’s 100 Influential Hispanics in 2006 for her work on the Affinity Research Group model that focuses on development of undergraduate students involved in research.

Irene Hernandez-Roberts

is the Program Director ISV & Developer Relations IBM Innovation Centers for Business Partners, is the IBM CA- HSI Alliance member. The alliance focuses on the recruitment, retention and advancement of Hispanics in computing.

Diana Gomez

is Chief of the Office of Traffic Management, California Department of Transportation, and the National President for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), a professional organization that serves as the source for quality Hispanic engineers and technical talent. She has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics by Hispanic Business and as one of the top 100 Hispanics in the technical field by Hispanic Engineer.

Maria Azua

is the Vice President of Technology & Innovation, is active in the IBM multicultural community and the community-at-large, and has mentored a long list of protégés. She was inducted into the omen In Technology International (WITI) Hall of Fame, and named one of the 93100 Most Influential Hispanics by People magazine in 2006. The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) has recognized Maria with The Star Award for her contributions and dedication to the Hispanic community.

Monica Martinez-Canales

is a Principal Member of the Technical Staff, Sandia National Laboratories, is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native-Americans in Science (SACNAS) and has an excellent record in science education and outreach communities.

Ivonne Valdes

is the Director Customer Services at Sun Microsystems and is an active mentor to professionals and teens. Her current affiliations include Friends of the Foundation and Community Against Substance Abuse (CASA).
