Who We Are: Robin Jeffries

Robin-Jeffries Robin Jeffries is an Engineer at Google and previously a Sun Microsystems Distinguished Engineer.

Dr. Jeffries spent 15 years as a researcher at the University of Colorado, Carnegie-Mellon University, and Hewlett-Packard Laboratories before coming to Sun. She is the author of over 30 papers in the areas of human-computer interaction and cognitive science and holds 4 user interface patents. She is listed in Who’s Who in American Women.

Dr. Jeffries is also Sun’s representative to the Institute for Women and Technology, where she supports Systers, an international electronic community of 2500 women in IT, and is leading the creation of a new infrastructure that will support systers’ goals of bringing more women into computing and keeping them in the field.
