Who We Are: Monica Martinez-Canales

Principal Engineer, Intel Corporation

Monica Martinez-Canales is a Principal Engineer in the Digital Enterprise Group at Intel Corporation.  Prior to joining Intel, Monica was a Principal Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Labs until 2008.

Her areas of expertise are numerical analysis and validation. She is also interested in machine learning, business organization, quality processes and informed decision-making. Monica received her Ph.D. Computational & Applied Mathematics from Rice University in 1998 and was an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from 1998-2000.
 
Monica’s best products to date are her children Giovanni and Isabella. In her spare time Monica enjoys Lego League, robotics, K-12 education methods/philosophies (Montessori/Kumon/etc), fitness, whole foods nutrition and organic gardening.
