President, Harvey Mudd College
Dr. Maria Klawe became fifth president of Harvey Mudd College in July, 2006. Prior to joining HMC, Maria served as Dean of Engineering and a professor of Computer Science at Princeton University and in several positions at the University of British Columbia including Dean of Science, Vice-President of Student and Academic Services, and Head of Computer Science. Maria has also worked at IBM Research in California, and at the University of Toronto. She received her Ph.D. and B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Alberta.
