Who We Are: Karin Meyer, Director, Platforms, Intuit

Karin Meyer is responsible for initiating company-wide technology programs for Intuit’s CTO organization, establishing strategic vision, business cases and alignment of new technology initiatives against business strategy.  Over her tenure at Intuit she has overseen the launch of multiple top technology priorities, including company-wide high-availability reviews, a platform initiative, and a unified customer identity strategy.

Prior to joining Intuit, Karin was Technical Vice President of Architecture for Charles Schwab & Co., where she was responsible for implementing the re-architecture of www.schwab.com, the world’s highest volume secure web site at the time.  She was the first woman to obtain the rank of Technical Vice President at Schwab, and received multiple corporate awards during her tenure, including Technologist of the Year.

Karin’s interests lie in strategic planning, architecture, and product strategy.  She is passionate about improving the representation of women in technical fields and has been active in technical women’s advocacy groups and communities throughout her career.

Karin has an A.B and M.S. in Computer Science, from UC Berkeley and University of Washington, Seattle respectively. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the West Bay Opera and is on the Board of Advisors for the Anita Borg Institute.
