Vice President, Website Application Platform Amazon.com
As vice president of Website Application Platform, Colin Bodell leads the development and operations of the Amazon website platform used worldwide by Amazon.com retail and enterprise partner sites.
Bodell came to Amazon.com in May 2006 from VA Software where he was CTO and VP Development SourceForge Enterprise. During his twenty–five year career, Bodell has served as a senior executive at WebGain, IntelliCorp and Micro Focus.
As executive vice president of engineering and product management for WebGain, Bodell delivered WebGain Studio, Application Composer and Business Designer products to complete the WebGain end–to–end product portfolio. At IntelliCorp, Bodell served as executive vice president, chief operating officer and vice president of product development, helping IntelliCorp refocus on SAP R/3–centric business process management, enterprise application integration and CRM eBusiness solutions for Fortune 1000 companies. At Micro Focus Bodell was Vice President Client-Server solutions.
Bodell received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Coventry University in England.
