Development and Industry Partner Manager
Professional Experience
With more than a decade of professional writing and editing experience, her career began in earnest as a child correcting family members’ grammar. Prior to joining the Anita Borg Institute, she was as an Associate Editor at PC World magazine and a Managing Editor of TechSoup, one of the oldest and largest nonprofit technology assistance agencies in the world.
A self-proclaimed geek, Alexandra has written articles on a variety of geeky topics, including: Linux, Web 2.0, motherboards, graphics cards, and citizen journalism.
With her journalism background and development experience, she looks forward to strengthening existing ABI partnerships, creating new ones, and thinking up new Web content to support the Institute’s mission.
Outside the Office
When not pecking away at a keyboard, Alexandra can be found doing any of the following: teaching yoga, cooking, meditating, hiking, camping, traveling (though not nearly enough), making jewelry, searching for sea glass, playing cribbage, reading, volunteering, exploring, and helping wayward animals find their homes.
