Women in technology are at the heart of ABI’s mission. We are on a quest to accelerate the pace of global innovation by working to ensure that the creators of technology mirror the people and societies who use it.

Grassroots to global

In 1987, computer scientist Anita Borg started a digital community for women in computing. Today, ABI works with women technologists in over 50 countries, and partners with leading academic institutions and Fortune 500 companies.

Dedicated leadership

The ABI staff and board are made up of people who are passionate about what women can bring to technology. We understand the needs of women, and have worked inside organizations that view technology innovation as an imperative.

A legacy of results

ABI helps women grow their careers and make significant contributions to technical fields. Our programs and awards highlight the accomplishments of women technologists, and recognize organizations building innovation-driven teams. Our events and communities enable women to find their peers and form relationships that result in mutual benefit.
